Swatch Chrono
Movement as culture. A watch built for the rhythm of the city. Swatch Chrono Plastic was designed for a new generation of urban, fashion-conscious consumers living active, expressive lifestyles. The challenge was to launch the collection in a way that felt culturally authentic, connecting the product to the energy and creativity of the environments its audience moves through every day. The insight was simple: this audience doesn’t just wear watches, they live in motion. Parkour, with its raw urban athleticism and spirit of freedom, became the perfect cultural lens through which to bring the campaign to life. I led the creative development of the campaign concept and art direction across film, advertising and launch activations, building a creative platform centred on the Parkour Movement. Using the sport’s fluidity and physicality, the campaign showcased the watch in action while capturing the rhythm, freedom and spontaneity of urban movement. Advertising and live activations worked together to generate excitement around the launch. Street-level events, film and campaign visuals combined to create a sense of momentum that extended beyond traditional media. The result was a campaign that quickly achieved cult status among its target audience and generated a significant groundswell of word-of-mouth awareness. Chrono Plastic went on to become one of the most successful commercial launches within the Swatch Group.
